Brandon Baller | Senior Lender / Branch President
Brandon has been with Security Bank since May of 2000...
Brandon has been with Security Bank since May of 2000. He has been the Branch President in Hartington since 2005 and added the responsibility of Chief Credit Officer for the bank in 2013. Brandon and his wife Traci have four boys.
Brandon began his career with Security Bank in Laurel as a college intern in 2000 and transitioned to a full-time position as loan officer when he graduated from Wayne State College in 2001. He has been the Branch President in Hartington since 2005 and added the responsibility of Chief Credit Officer for the bank in 2013. He completed his Master’s Degree from Wayne State College in 2003 and also received a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colorado in 2007. Brandon has been active with the Nebraska Bankers Association, graduating from their Leadership Program in 2010 and serving on numerous committees. Brandon was raised in Plainview, Nebraska and is grateful for being able to raise his family in a small community as well.
Brandon has been very involved in the Hartington community since his arrival, serving on the Economic Development Board, the Holy Trinity Finance Committee, the Welcome Committee, the Hartington Golf Board, the Community Redevelopment Authority and the Revolving Loan Fund Committee. His passion outside of banking is playing golf and basketball and spending time with his family.
Duane Hoesing | Loan Officer
Duane has been with Security Bank as a loan officer since January, 2011...
Duane has been with Security Bank as a loan officer since January, 2011. He came to Security Bank with 13 years of banking experience in agricultural and commercial lending.
After high school graduation, Duane joined the Marines and served in Vietnam in 1969 (infantry). He graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, in 1974 with a degree in agriculture, and completed a Master's degree in 1977. He taught high school and college agricultural courses for 23 years prior to his banking career.
During his teaching and banking careers, Duane and his wife, Judy, operated a livestock and grain farm near Menominee, Nebraska where he grew up. Duane and Judy were married for over 42 years prior to her death in February of 2013 from cancer. They have three sons: Fr. Paul (Archdiocese of Omaha priest), Matthew and his wife Lacey and their 4 children, and Jonathan and his wife Kayla. In his free time Duane enjoys gardening, canning food for the family, and working on the farm.
Justin Kerkman | Loan Officer
Justin joined the Security Bank Team on February 1, 2016...
Prior to starting his career with Security Bank, Justin worked as a grain manager at the Hartington Elevator. He also gained experience as a marketing intern at Sandhills Publishing based in Lincoln. His internship with Sandhills Publishing allowed him to travel across the United States, making contact with current and potential clients. He also held a marketing internship with Hudl, a leading sports software company based in Lincoln.
Justin is originally from Wisner, Nebraska and graduated from Wisner-Pilger High school in 2010. From there he went on to attend the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. In May of 2014 Justin graduated from UNL with a Business degree. In 2016, he completed the School of Lending Principles held in Grand Island and as of August 2017, he completed Agricultural Lending School in Manhattan, Kansas where he was instructed in agricultural lending concepts and practices to enhance his effectiveness as an agricultural loan officer and develop skills to best serve the multiple financial needs of his customers.
Justin and his wife, Ashley, were married in May of 2017 and currently reside in Hartington. He serves on the Hartington Chamber of Commerce Board and recently became a Knight for the Knights of Columbus. During his free time, Justin enjoys volunteering as a coach for 5th & 6th grade basketball as well as refereeing little league basketball. He also enjoys golfing, fitness, music, friends & family, and everything related to Husker football.
