Richard E. Adkins Jr. | Chairman of the Board
Rick began his career with Security Bank in 1973 as a Loan Officer...
Rick began his career with Security Bank in 1973 as a Loan Officer. In 1980, Rick was elected to the role of President/CEO and Chairman of the Board. Rick served in the role of President until 2012, and currently serves as CEO and Chairman.
Rick has been involved in the Laurel area over the years, including the serving on Laurel Chamber, the United Methodist Church board, Cedar County Fair Board, Cedar County Extension Service and the Cedar County 4H Council.
In 1999, Rick was elected as the President of the Nebraska Bankers Association. Rick has also served on numerous ABA Committees, including the Agricultural Committee, the Government Relations Committee, and the Community Banking Committee.
When not in the bank Rick spends time exhibiting his American Quarter Horse. Rick is currently a National Director of the American Quarter Horse Association, representing Nebraska. He is also a trustee of the University of Nebraska Foundation. Rick and his wife Joan, have four children, all graduates of Laurel Concord High School.
Keith Knudsen | CEO/President
Keith has been with Security Bank since May of 1981...
Keith has been with Security Bank since May of 1981. His career with Security Bank began as a Management Trainee and over the years Keith’s knowledge and expertise has brought him to his current position of Security Bank President in 2013.
After earning a Business Administration-Finance degree from Wayne State College in May 1981, Keith accepted a Management Trainee position with Security Bank. In 1991, he received his diploma from the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colorado. Over the years, Keith’s knowledge and expertise has brought him to his current position of Security Bank President as of January 2013.
Keith was born and raised in Laurel, which is also where he and his wife Karen raised their 3 boys, Greg, Jeff, and Mitch. He currently serves as the President of the Laurel City Council and is also the Chairmen of the Fund Advisory Committee of the Laurel Community Foundation. In addition, Keith is a member of the Government Relations Committee of the Nebraska Bankers Association, and on the Board of Trustees at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. In his free time Keith enjoys traveling, boating, and spending time with his family.
Susan K. Koranda | Executive Vice President
Susie has been with Security Bank since June of 1997...Susie has been with Security Bank since June of 1997. She currently serves as Executive Vice President of the bank and serves on the bank’s Board of Directors. Susie and her husband, Larry, and their son, Brock, reside in Laurel.
Susie began her banking career as a Customer Service Rep. in 1997. She graduated from the Executive Development Institute, through the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder Colorado in 2015. She also graduated with honors from the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, in July of 2003. In 2006 she graduated from the Nebraska Bankers Association Leadership Program, and has also been active with the Nebraska Bankers Association, currently serving on the Board of Directors, along with serving on numerous committees. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Midland University. Prior to joining the bank she taught business and coached in Prague, NE.
Susie has been very involved in the Laurel community since moving to Laurel in 1996. She has served on the Laurel Chamber of Commerce, the St. Mary’s Parish Council and Finance Committee, the Laurel Rec Board, the Laurel Rescue Squad, Team Mates Board and the Haven House Board of Directors. She also was the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Laurel Concord from 1998-2004. Outside of banking Susie enjoys golfing and spending time at the lake with her family. She was born and raised in Pierce and is excited to raise her family in a small rural community.

Lee Potts | Vice President / Senior Credit Officer
Lee has been with Security Bank since 2005...
Lee has been with Security Bank since 2005. As Vice President/Senior Credit Officer, Lee’s primary duties include Ag and Commercial Lending and he serves on Security Bank's Executive Loan Committee and Management Team.
Lee grew up on a family farm south of Hartington, where his family raised corn, soybeans, alfalfa, hogs, and cattle. Since graduating from UNL in 1999 with an Ag Economics degree, he spent a short time as a pen rider at a commercial feedlot near West Point, has experience as a commodity market consultant with both DTN and Land O’Lakes, having held a Series 3 license during part of that time; and then a farm financial consultant with Nebraska Farm Business in Lincoln assisting farmers across the state with accounting, tax planning, and financial analysis. It was during that time in Lincoln that the opportunity arose to work at the bank and move closer to his home area.
Lee has felt most at-home in the Cedar and Dixon County rural and small-town area and working with farm and commercial customers to ensure their business success for years to come. Over the past several years, he has been involved in the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge TeamMates program, St. Mary’s Parish Council and finance committee, Laurel Chamber Community Club, and Laurel Planning Commission. He has also recently become involved at the state-level, as part of the Nebraska Bankers Association Leadership Class of 2014, and becoming a new member of the Nebraska Bankers Association Lending Committee. Lee and his wife, Jackie, have two kids.
Kevin Nordby | Vice President/Loan Officer
Kevin has been with Security Bank since September of 2005...
Kevin has been with Security Bank since September of 2005. He has been a Loan Officer with Security Bank since he graduated with a Finance Degree from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Kevin specializes in Ag and Commercial loans and serves on the banks Executive Loan Committee.
Kevin has completed numerous Nebraska Banking Association schools including: Agricultural Lending and Advanced Schools of Banking. He is currently enrolled in Graduate School of Banking, Colorado.
Kevin was raised in Coleridge, Nebraska and was very excited to be able to come back after college to live in a rural community. Kevin & his wife Laura have 2 children.
He has been involved in numerous community activities such as serving on the Laurel Community Chamber board, Cedar View Country Club board, and most recently being the Chairman of the Community Redevelopment Authority.
Kevin’s hobbies outside of banking include, softball, golf, farming and spending time with family and friends.
Teri Korth | Loan Officer
Teri began her career with Security Bank in June of 2007...
Teri began her career with Security Bank in June of 2007 as a Customer Service Representative, then transitioned to Administrative Assistant in 2008, and transitioned once again in 2013 to Personal Banker. Then in the spring of 2015, Teri made her most recent move to her current position as loan officer.
Prior to joining Security Bank, Teri obtained an accounting degree from Northeast Community College in 2004 while working at an accounting firm. She has since returned to Northeast Community College and completed a degree in rural Ag Banking in the Spring of 2015.
Teri was raised in Randolph and her husband, Travis, have three boys. Outside of banking she enjoys baking, helping her husband farm, and spending time with friends and family.
Evan Rose | Loan Officer
Evan has been with Security Bank since June of 2018...
Evan has been with Security Bank since June of 2018, starting out as an administrative assistant and then transitioning to a loan officer in 2020. Prior to his career with Security Bank, Evan had interned at CVA in Wakefield. He spent two summers there as a fertilizer plant operations intern and agronomy intern. Preceding those summers he worked as for an excavation and water line repair business and as a grass seed farm hired hand, both in the Broken Bow area.
Broken Bow being where Evan graduated high school. After graduation, Evan moved on to Wayne State College where he received degrees in Agri-Business as well as Business Management in 2018. Evan has continued his training and education through the bank since joining the team, with the most recent training being 2019 School of Banking Fundamentals sponsored by the Kansas and Nebraska Bankers Association.
Evan looks forward to connecting and serving the communities in the area. He and his wife Meg reside on his grandparent’s farm south of Wakefield. His free time is filled by hanging out with friends, being with family, farming a few hundred acres, and doing anything competitive.
